Illustration is something I fell in love with from the start. I want to extract words and make them come alive visually. I continue to find ways of pushing concepts and ideas with clients. 

Scary how the "fundamentals of drawing" are now moving to Digi-Tablets. I continue to practice the basics of drawing with a series of pencils as often as I can. I believe in having control in my medium and not worrying whether or not I pressed "save". 

Ah paint. My favorite thing to make a mess with. I have a post-impressionist painting style, except with acrylic paint. I started using gouache acrylic recently for small scale paintings, but for large scale, I have no issues grabbing a tub of acrylic. I'm trying to explore more with large scale paintings and also venturing away from using black and white paint for mixing. Long as I have room to throw globs of paint around, I'm a happy camper.  

I never considered myself a designer in the beginning. I started out drawing and barely having an idea of what software could do to enhance my work. Throughout the years, I've taught myself to explore digital media. I find it facinating that an artist can simply use his/her Wacom Tablet to "paint" on a screen. Even though I still predominately hand-draw my ideas, I've learned that transferring it to a digital world is not that scary.

My sketchbook is a collection of thoughts, ideas, and general doodles. Usually at the worst time, I get the desire to draw. I save all of my drawings in a little pile and when I need to spark my imagination, I dig through and usually find an old gem. I also collect sketchbooks - just to annoy my husband.
